Lyon

... I did not have enough time to visit and get to see a whole lot of Southern France, so I want to go back again and this time make it to Paris as well!

One of the well-known gastro pubs in Lyon. I highly recommend it!

I loved it, I walked, walked, walked and walked… I loved this Unesco world heritage.

Lyon is great city with a lot of history and a lot to do. It is a lot less overrun with tourists than Paris which I really appreciated.

I was born in Lyon, and spent a few years living there when I was younger. It’s a lovely place, and holds a lot of good memories for me :)

Haven’t been back there in a while, but I intend to visit again at some point in the future.

Go to http://www.petitpaume.com/ ...if you speak French, its a crazy-comprehensive city guide…they have a festival for its release in the Fall and every Lyonais has a copy.

Where my father was born and rasied. Beautiful and lasting.

lyon has a beautiful old city centre, nice restaurants and friendly people :)
check out one of the bicycles to rent, and drive around the city. you’ll find lots of nice places. the area around lyon is also worth visiting. you can spend a week here without getting bored…

Lyon is a bit smaller version of Paris. You will feel and see the history but in a more down-to-earth environment compared to Paris. Dont mistaken my words, there is no other then Paris, but this city well worth the trip! Nightlife, food, markets, museums, weather….

go and visit the big cathedral on the river!
