It was a good place to relax after rushing around London and Paris. The only bad thing that happened was that we walked into a park at night (bad idea, folks) to take pictures of some flowers. Apparently we disturbed the resident homeless man and his dog (because everyone in France, even the homeless, have dogs). He started swearing at us, in both French and English. We got the message and were about to leave when he threw a bottle and it landed SMACK! on the back of my head. Needless to say, my head hurt the next day. Anyways, heed my lesson and stay away from the parks at night, and you’ll have a great time! over 2 years agoBeautiful! by ♥ Sirena ♥I lived here with my father, he had a job in Nice. I was a young teenager but I loved it. I’ve forgotten my French for the most part…I haven’t had to use in 5 years. Beautiful beaches, Italian influence over the town. Friendly people, people from all over come and visit etc. Definitely worth visiting. I miss it so much. over 3 years agoUntitled by daydreamerIt’s a great base for exploring the Côte d’Azur. We really had a wonderful time there! I´m thinking of going there again next year, and by then I want to find better restaurants than we did. It was almost the same everywhere: touristy places servering the same dishes, and we wanted to find good french cooking, where the french hang out for dinner. It doesn´t have to be a Michelin place, but somewhat more edgy than the boring tourist places around cours Saleya. Honestly, you can find better food in Sweden… But maybe the French food is a bit overrated? Like the Italian… over 3 years agoSee all 106 entries |
