Whenever you want to buy items from a shop downtown, have someone who is Ghanaian buy it for you. You’ll get lower prices.

i’ve been twice, spent a month traveling the ENTIRE country each time. I’ve been to Tema, Accra, the Eastern Region, the Afram Plains, Kumasi(Stay in the Relax Lodge if you find yourself in Kumasi…great Chinese food and HOT WATER!),Yendi, Mole National Park(a definite must), Kukum(sp?) with the hanging bridges, El Mina, The Village of Hope…i’ve seen the whole country. Its beautiful, the people are beautiful, and I can’t wait to go back this summer

India – always wanted to go. Reading Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts – made me even more determined. A friend of mine went to utter pradesh and disappeared. We never saw him again.
