A good place to put your bags down for a few years.

welly is lovely, funky, fresh, neat, friendly, and full of things to do – though it’s windy as all hell and can get quite cold in early spring (when i was there). museums, cuba district definitely worth checking out.

Too windy and lots of rain. I went there twice and each time weather was bad, maybe it’s just my bad luck.
Locals seem to be more friendly than Chch and AKL.

I love Wellington.. really miss the moment i had walking along the bay.. then took a pit stop at Te Papa and spending an anternoon on the hill above the city

Lol Ummm No offence or any thing But It was COld Nd The Roads WEre WindY. The Nice Thing About WellingTon Is DAt its Quiet Well Out in Whitby Where I Was Staying Its Quiet And Out in Kilberinie??? Xcept for when the aeroplanes go Over lol

I enjoyed the Lord of the Rings exhibition, but I was distinctly underwhelmed by Wellington. Maybe may view was tinted by the first bad weather I had experienced on my trip, but the only thing it had going for it in my view was an interesting location.

The view over the city from the ferry for South Island was impressive.

My primary goal for coming to Wellington was to go to univeristy. I finished a Bachelor degree in Accounting at Victoria University and now doing my Honours in Accounting.

Wellington is a very positive city, vibrant, young and fashionable, that’s Wellington!!

Don’t bother taking an unbrella, the rain falls almost horizontally on the “few” blustery days they have.

i hope to move here in two years.

Much more fun than Auckland. The city has a great vibe, and there are plenty of cheap things to do.
