Kingstown is a national capital but it still has some of the flavor of a colonial town. There are colonial era buildings like the Parlement and courthousev building and the Police Station on Bay Street and also modern buildings like the Administration building. It has a cathedral dating from the 1700s and a botanical garden with a descendant of the breadfruit trees Captain Blight was bringing on the Bounty. Everything is within walking distance from the cruise ship dock. The people are the friendliest in the Caribbean. Feel welcome!
