Basilique Notre Dame De La Garde

The view from here is stunning! It also makes you appreciate how huge Marseille is.

The church itself is lovely and has some beautiful mosaics.

To get here, you can either take bus 60 or the little tourist train (Panoramic circuit). Both leave from the Vieux Port. I wouldn’t advise walking unless you like a challenge – it’s a pretty steep climb!

Great view up here, we took panorama shots of the entire city. A strong wind was blowing that day (the Mistral?) and I was wearing a satin skirt, as a result I accidentaly flashed the city my knickers :/ . So beware, and hang on to your hems.
