Doha

Unbeknownst to us we booked the cheapest flight we could find from Toronto to Nairobi and it ended up being with Qatar Airways. I hadn’t heard of them before but they ended up being an amazing airline (and soon after our trip they won the award for top international airline). The best part about flying with them was the stopover in Doha. For about $25 we quickly bought a visa and headed into the city. Even though both layovers that we spent in Doha were overnight we had no issues in the city. Of course, it is better to go earlier so that some of the shops and attractions are open but even at 2am there will be restaurants, hookah and it is so safe that you can walk along the gorgeous waterfront. Worth it for sures.

it was cool

I can’t wait to go back some day. The mall here was great (a starbucks on every level) as well as lot of great places to eat and if you get tired of driving around the city you can always go lounge at the Ritz-Carlton.

It was 113 degrees and I lazed around the pool all day. I did absolutely nothing…and it was everything that I thought it could be.

I spent a week here for business last march, it’s a very busy city.

Nice place to visit.
