New Delhi - Rich and Poor at the Same Time  — 1 year ago

New Delhi is a rich and poor city at the same time. India is a very interesting country that has a lot of culture, although the people don’t have a lot of money.
New Delhi has a population of 21,883 million people and it’s the capital of India. They speak Hindu and English, and their main religion is Hinduism. India, with a population of 986 million, has a lot of industries. The main industries are textiles, chemicals, food processing, steel, transportation, equipment, cement and mining. As you can see, they have a lot of money, but where does all this money go? That is a million dollar question! They have a lot of money, but it doesn’t go to the population. People in New Delhi are not living the best of the conditions right now. People don’t have basic sanitation or a decent home to live. It’s also common to see children working with their parents, instead of going to school.
Even with their need of help, their culture is something to be amazed with. Their religion is the main source of culture, the way they believe in it, and don’t disagree with anything about it. Hinduism is not a religion in India anymore; it is a way of living. The Indians wake up and sleep thinking about it. And don’t you dare breaking a Hinduism rule! It is really amazing the way they follow their religion, and how they can follow it, and still have hope, with no money.
Even with all the amazing things they have, such as the Taj Mahal, poverty is present. But it is a very interesting country to be visited, although it has its problems.

    Mayhem  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

New Delhi is total mayhem at 120 degrees fahrenheit! what a place! incredibly dirty, incredibly busy and incredibly hot. Not a place for people who like places like saint tropez or the bahamas. There are no comforts! and you WILL get sick there. but if you take on the challenge, you are in for an experience of a lifetime!

This place is the hottest place (I mean, the weather) I’ve ever been. 40 degrees celsius is no joke! Other than that there isn’t much else.

A very dirty city, but it was still amazing. Definitely a shock for a Westerner; I still don’t know where all the people came from or where they were going or coming from!
