He crashed one over the embassy wall one day, and I taped Tootsie Rolls to the ribs before handing it to the guard to get thrown back to him. -Maybe all of our lives could be a lot easier if we focused more on giving back the little things. over 6 years agoUntitled by jack2uI’ve been there 3 time the last trip was almost 7 months long. The people are about the friendliest I’ve met on the planet – the standard of living though is probably the lowest of any place I’ve been. Kabul with a population of approx 4 million has an open sewer system and no working traffic lights which makes it interesting to get around. The nan bread is incredable but one has to wonder about where they get their water to bake with. It’s not uncommon to see sewage trucks dumping into the river and children playing downstream in the water a few hundred feet away. over 6 years agoUntitled by whosyourjimmySeeing little children wandering the streets with no shoes and tattered clothes begging for money. Seeing the violence and the filth and whole human equation unfold before my eyes every day that I stepped out my front door. over 6 years agoSee all 7 entries |
