Don’t get me wrong, Berlin is an awesome city, I loved every single day I spent there last year. Seeing museums, taking wine tasting tours, going to events like Berlinale. The only downside for me was the crime I experienced. I was staying in a hotel near Zoologischer Garten U-Bahn station which apparently has troubled a few travellers I’ve met. Anyway my hotel was broken into and all my belongings stolen, so definitely think twice about the area you stay in when you go to Berlin. It’s still a great city of course. Just don’t stay in this area if you can help it!
ok, so it was a school trip for one week. We stayed in the Kolumbus Hotel. Not the best accommodation, but the West side of Berlin was by far the best place ever!! the shops there were amazing! but then there were the places of historical importance. Mind-blowing, and yes, i’d like to go again someday…maybe pick up the language a little more (danke is all i know… :/)
This city is beyond cool. We spent the entire day wandering around. We visited the Pergamon Museum, which still showed damage from World War II. We also walked around the Brandenburg Gate and saw the remains of the Berlin Wall.
There is a lot to see, and I would love to go back and stay longer.

berlin is my favorite place. i lived here 2004-2005 in neukoelln. i revisited with my husband (who had never been out of the US before) in may 2009. we subletted an apartment in the heart of kreuzberg. it was all still very familiar and hadn’t changed terribly. luckily my favorite vegetarian restaurants were still there!
we had a wonderful trip, though not enough time to show my husband everything about the city that i love.
can’t wait to go back again! my goal is to live here again in the future.
“I'm going to Berlin in the end of December to see Coldplay and I'll be there for about 3 days! I'm super excited to go, but I don't really know what to do there(besides going to the concert). Could anyone suggest some things you could do/see? :D ”

“Hi! We have 1 night in Berlin, we arrive Tegel airport in the evening and leave for Sweden from the Central bus station the next evening. Which area would be convenient for us in this case to book a hotel? Cheers”

“Hello! Weird question: Is there anyone who can help me with a competition? I need someone in Berlin to use their iPhone to download a free app and shake their phone for 20 seconds. I'd love you forever! :)”
