I heart Tirana  — 1 year ago

Worth visiting!

If you are ever visiting Albania, the capital is the best thing there is. Although dirty, polluted its lovely-messy and you can see a little bit of everything-from the begining bits of a metropol to the characteristics of a city lost in transition( not translation, btw.)
If anyone’s coming soon, i’d be delighted to show him/her around. :)

The capital of Shqiperia (Albania)  — 3 years ago

Worth visiting!

Tirana (or Tirane) is a great place to begin your tour of Albania. Many locals speak some English, and they appreciate a chance to use it. There’s a lovely produce market, a historical museum about the former Communist dictator Enver Hoxha’s regime, and wonderful Albanian and Italian restaurants. Drop by the Qendra Baptiste (Baptist Center, an international missionary office) next to the produce market to ask about up-to-date restaurant recommendations. The Qendra Stefan restaurant in the same square serves typical American food, but it’s a great place to meet other international travelers and expatriates.
