Worth visiting!
It’s the terminus of one of the bus lines from Mariehamn and I was amazed at how scattered the vilage is. The bus terminus is at the port of the Eckerö line, the shortest shipping route between Sweden and Åland.
Eckerö used to play an important role in the provision of postal services to Finland and the old Post Station has been turned into a museum.
Some considerable distance away but still in Eckerö is a hunting and fishing museum.
