Aswan

We enjoyed a lovely felucca ride on the Nile while we visited Aswan. While quietly sailing through the water, we were treated to beautiful views of trailing flowers and greenery everywhere. We had a terrific surprise when we were serenaded by two boys in a fishing boat. Both were hoping for a little cash bonus, so they took requests. We loved their version of The Ketchup Song!

We’re just back from a cruise up the Nile from Luxor. Wow! It was everything we’d hoped and more, except there wasn’t any time to relax. I think Aswan would be an interesting place to live – small enough to get to know well, and full of natural and historical beauty. I want to go back.
