My name is Emily and I just wanted to let you know about my trip to Mendoza wine country!

I’ve recently been there for four days and I must say, it was absolutely terrific!!We toured around Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley wine regions, visiting traditional and new remarkable wineries, enjoying superb wine tastings and gourmet lunches! On the other hand, we spent a full day tour in the countryside, in a place located at the foothills of the Andes mountain range, where we had a cooking class and later, we enjoyed a horseback riding through colorful landscapes without ever losing sight of the imposing and magnificent beauty of the Andes range.

If someone is thinking about visiting Mendoza and taking a wine tour or program, don’t doubt to get in contact with Mendoza Holidays (http://www.mendozaholidays.com), a local travel agency who assisted us with every detail of our trip. They are an experienced team who have personal knowledge of all the areas featured.

Oh, and just as a tip, always check out that the travel agency is fully licensed and registered. Most of wine tours companies are not that legal!

See you!

Mendoza is a great weekend trip. We took a 6 hr busride between Santiago & Mendoza thru one of the most beautiful (& treacherous!) stretches in the world – thru the Andes mountains. Beautiful…

When we got there we found a couple great tours through our hostel: one day we went paragliding off of some of the Andes mountains – you literally run and jump off the side of a mountain (you have a pilot strapped to you). The second day we took a trailride thru some low parts of the Andes- perfectly picturesque with some gauchos as our guides!

Check out the huge Parque San Martin… on Sunday morning we found a few hundred people around a stage in the middle of the park — free aerobics!

Oh, and find a $6 all you can eat steak & every-food-you-can-dream-of buffet… you will waddle out of there hours later…!

It could actually be a nice place to visit, but please wait untill you’re so old that you really do believe that there is nothing else to do with your life other than drink wine, read about wine, visit wine, sleep and dream wine.

The is absolutely nothing outstanding about the city, it’s just a regular medium-sized town, with about 245894390345 wineries around. Oh, and the bus station is VERY dangerous, please be careful. Police officers will think it’s incredibly funny that you got robbed…
