South Dakota was the first new state I went to on my crazy road trip to Seattle, Washington. I really only drove through, but it was definitely a nice drive, except for all the construction on I-29…..

I want to visit the Mount Rushmore National Memorial.

You have to go to Spearfish Canyon… It is beautiful… And if you’re into “off the beaten path” see if there’s a little place there called Rim Rock Lodge… I loved it. Old run down single room cabins with wood burning stoves… It was just what I was looking for. There’s even a few hikes around there… So enjoy, and don’t take some prissy girl who’s looking for room service cause this ain’t it! Charming, cozy, perfect… For me, but not for everyone! I loved it!
