Worth visiting!
I was actually born in Massachusetts, but moved when I was very young. I have always wanted to see Boston, and I think it would be spectacular to be in Salem at Halloween.

I want to go here one day in the future and visit George who has been a great help to me for….ages!!! Experience his undoubtably gifted and skillful mastering of flower bouquets and basically just experience Massachusetts in general.

I had no idea how cool Massachusetts is. There are lots of lakes and nature areas. Also, the people are really nice.

I would drive up to Salem (from Philly!) just to have lunch and do some grave rubbings. Traffic is hellish – but Boston and Salem are great towns to visit!

Actually this is not in Boston proper, but in Charlestown (right across from Boston). The USS Constitution is docked there and the Bunker Hill monument. The Bunker Hill monument is actually on Breed’s Hill, but the information is great.
A nice little tavern is just down the way from there. it is the Warren Tavern. Dr. Warren was one of the many “freedom fighters” in the American Revolution and was killed in battle. This was his tavern. Good food at a little higher price, but the ambiance is worth it.
The Constitution is very much worth visiting..as is pretty much everything along the Freedom Trail (Walking tour of Boston downtown area)If you have day to spend in Boston and the weather is good, take the time to walk the Freedom Trail. Don’t skip any of the cemeteries. I know…they all seem to look alike. But, its what you find on the stones that is as interesting as who is buried there.
Nice place to walk, but I certainly would nopt want to drive into down town. When they say the “cows laid out the streets,” they aren’t kidding.

Me and a friend of mine decided last minute to go whale watching. It has always been a thing we have wanted to do. So we pack a bag, get in her vehicle and start driving (from around the Buffalo NY area). We get to some town, around 3am-3:30am (can’t remember the name), and can’t find the hotel we had looked up online. A cop pulls us over and helps us out. Unfortunately, the hotel we planned on staying at happened to be booked. So we are thinking we are screwed since we don’t know the area at all, and don’t know what to do. Luckily, we picked up one of those coupon/value magazines at a rest stop on the turnpike. It had a listing of hotels in that area, and we started dialing. We found a comfort inn that had only one room left, so we took it. In the morning we heading out towards Gloucester Massachusetts, which was only about 15 minutes away. We got to the whale watching company early so we just kind of sat there looking at the ocean, as it had been our first time at the ocean for both of us. The whale watching tour was incredible and definitely worth all the hassels and money. People in the area were very friendly and helpful, and I will defintely visit again real soon!

I am going to be in Massachusetts for Christmas 2007. I will be there from December 24 until January 4ish. I want to see Boston, and eat good food, drink good beer, and see beautiful things, but I am not sure where these things can be found. I also would love to visit Salem and see witch trial-related things, but am not sure where to find “the good stuff” you know the stuff that tourists don’t know about….
so if anyone knows of anything, please pass some ideas my way!!
