All my first memories were in Souther California. A beautiful place, busy yet peaceful. I loved going to the beach on cloudy days and watching the sea. I miss my childhood!

Santa Cruz  — 4 weeks ago

    Worth visiting!

I went up and down the coast of California and loved it. One of the best places was the wharf at Santa Cruz. When you walk down and get closer to the end, you start to hear a strange barking sound. You soon realize the sound is coming from the large group of seals at the end of the pier. There are holes cut out of the wood and you can look down and watch the seals slip and slide through the water and rest on the wood beams. It was the highlight of my vacation.

We went to see my girlfriend’s brother outside of Eureka last November. We flew into San Francisco and drove through Napa and the red woods to get to his place in the mountains. It’s a beautiful part of the country, and I will be back.

I was 9 years old & I had come as far as from Puerto Rico. I had an aunt “titi Luz” & 3 cousins.. I remembered the first day we were there.. We walked all the way from 9th ST. to Knotts Berry Farm on Palm ave. and Beach Blvd. I started school in 4th grade in Gilbert High school located at 8th St.. Those were good all times. I went to Calder Junior High until it was then called Buena Park JR High Stallions… after that I went to Buena Park High School where I just stayed 4 or 5 months..Practiced some cross country with the best of all Mr. Hirsh.. I really loved California and hope that one of these days I can probably go back…

Road Trip!  — 2 months ago

    Worth visiting!

Two friends and myself took a road trip down to California on a whim one Saturday night. We left at 8:30, filled up our gas tank, and set off down I-5. It was one of the best times of my life. We drove for 8ish hours down to Yreka, California, stopped at the Denny’s to go to the bathroom and take some pictures with the big bronze statue of a prospector and his mule. We turned around and drove back. We got home at 12:30 PM on Sunday morning: 16 hours down and back.

    Great times.

San Fran, LA & Catalina Island  — 3 months ago

    Worth visiting!

Best spring break ever! I didn’t get to explore San Francisco (just flew into the airport) but I just remember the part that I saw was beautiful! I want to go back one day and explore all that the city has to offer. I stayed overnight in LA for two days total. The people were suprisingly friendly (I expected them to be not-so-approachable) and everyone was helpful (we were OBVIOUSLY tourists). I also remember that there are lots of Casinos in LA, but that’s just a random observation for anyone out there who enjoys gambling. Catalina Island is where I stayed for the majority of the week. The major port into the island reminded me of a Mediterranian city. However, it is very small, and is a HUGE tourist attraction. The island itself is very beautiful and there is a conscious effort on the island for conservation. I suggest if you visit Catalina, to volunteer with the Conservancy to get the most out of your trip (vacation and learning!). Most importantly, have fun!!!

I was at LAX for almost 2 hours! I didn’t get much of a view of LA other than from the air but I must say with only a short time in one spot we experienced our share of stars! First was the guy who played Lowell on Wings…but he more recently was the sandman in Spiderman 3…hey if there hadn’t been a rope we’d have walked into him right off the plane! Then was James Gandolfini and Whitney Houston! Crazy! I would like to go back and see Malibu, Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills…but we’ll see if that happens
