Well, Montreal is beautiful, there is so much more French spoken here than I had ever thought possible on the North American continent, and I am thrilled with my trip. Driving in the city is a bit of a challenge, but we managed to make it to Ottawa in about 2 hours, and stop in the Ontario/Quebec country side for a nice meal to break up our trip back. I would love to come back, and I mean very, very soon!

Went there in 1985 for a middle school band, orchestra and chorus trip. Had a great time even though it rained every day and was chilly. Love learning and seeing new things. Actually spotted Johnny Depp! A brief but memorable viewing :). Would love to return one day and see now that I’m an adult and can go anywhere I choose.

My family is generally accustomed to the eleven day Walt Disney World vacations. When my parents told me that we would be going against tradition and taking a driving trip to Canada I must admit I was not thrilled. Boy was I wrong! The trip was amazing! We saw so many things, met so many people, and experience many wonders.

Happy vacationing!

Not worth it!
I was supposed to attend university here, but i backed out and decided to go to London.
Canada is not bad, but for me, it’s more of a place where i can go on vacations, not to live there though.

I have a friend there now that I met via Craigslist. He seems pretty cool and, when I go there, he’s the first person I want to meet. Anyone as silly as he seems to be is a person worth meeting in my opinion.

Canada and Mexico are the only “foreign” countries I have been to and what I enjoyed about Quebec was how it was so drastically different than the US and even other parts of Canada I have been to.

Never go to Québec in the summer. It was soooo hot there, and my dad and I, who are bother sensitive to the heat, were burning up. Besides that, everyone spoke French, and we would have been stranded in the middle of nowhere if my mom hadn’t been close to fluent in French. And still, people didn’t know what she was saying half the time. I’m sure if she spoke French like she was from Québec, then people would have been more willing to help, but we were there for one day and then drove back to New York.
