Manitoba

Explore the province you grew up in, lived in. I knew very little about it, and even research isn’t enough. It’s better to venture out and see it with your own eyes.

visited my brother in university there. things are much more calmed down than Ontario thats for sure.

I have gone to Ballet in the Park the last 4 summers and it is amazing and best of all, FREE. Baked Expectations is also a great place to eat!

i moved here about 3 years ago and i met the funnest people ever and i love em all. they’re so awesome. and i also met the best guy ever here. i love him soooo much and i hope i will spend the rest of my life with him. i love this place but hate it at the same time. winkler is not a place to live at. if you can, move somewhere far away from here cuz its not that good but hey, i met this boy here and im glad i did.

i lived and finished highschool in manitoba, before i moved away for good w/ family + study…
Winnipeg is a great town, with nice folks.

A lot of small beautifull lakes in this area, and also really cheap to go to for vacations. Gorgeous national parks. Friendly people.

it sucks

I went here when I was in college, just because my friend had never been to Canada. I’m not exactly sure what she was thinking, but she almost didn’t stop for the border patrol! I was in the backseat, practically passed out from dramamine (I don’t like car rides unless I’m in the front) and the lady was like “wake her up! why isn’t she awake!” Needless to say, we didn’t stay very long.

What a wasted trip.

I went to Manitoba with my buddy one year for kicks in January. We had the goal to stay in Winnepeg for a weekend. It was extremely cold, and not very interesting. Chinatown was alright, enjoyment from eating good food. The hostel was nice, but in general, there are so many more interesting places in the world to visit, this wasn’t that interesting.

Why not?

It’s one of the few places within a day’s drive of Chicago that I haven’t been to.
