Tje Japanese are a polite and friendly people for the most part and expect the same from their guests. Also if you are staying with a famile of in an inn and they serve you food DO NOT automaticlly reach for the soy sauce or any other spices it will insult the host. they had prepared this meal just for you. over 5 years agoi love okinawa! by highschoolhaterthis place is full of culture. Untitled by tlyte07Okinawa is a land of very friendly people where everyone will give you a smile when you walk past on the sidewalk. I miss it very much; it is my home. There is such cultural diversity, especially when you get to live on base and go to school there. It is one of the most beautiful places to live on the earth, if you can appreciate nature integrated with urban living. over 5 years agoSee all 54 entries |

I don't know what homestay sites are trustworthy, so if anyone could recommend one (or maybe even recommend a family in a PM!) that would be great.” about 1 year agogone_walkabout asks,“I'll be in Hong Kong in a few weeks, what's best way to get to Okinawa?
