Why I want to go to this place
My grandfather was stationed here in the Air Force when him and my grandmother were first married. My mom was born here.

okinawa, japan
the best thing i can tell you is to study the customs before you go. and above all else be polite!!! Tje Japanese are a polite and friendly people for the most part and expect the same from their guests. Also if you are staying with a famile of in an inn and they serve you food DO NOT automaticlly reach for the soy sauce or any other spices it will insult the host. they had prepared this meal just for you.

A review of this place: i love okinawa!
this place is full of culture.
theres shuri castle, gyokusendo cave, expo park, and all the tombs scattered about.
theres also pineapple park, but i havent been there yet.
hopefully my family will visit it before we leave this awesome place!
and of course, they have beautiful beaches.
okuma beach is pretty fun to occasionally go to. however, it takes a while to drive there because of okinawa’s traffic even though its not very far. driving there is very fun for me, well not for my dad who drives, because sometimes the road is right beside vibrant grass and a deep blue ocean with random rocks popping out.
im afraid i dont know much about night life and clubs or really even shopping because im not old enough to drive or go to any of those places :) i do like jusco, which is the japanese version of a mall. theres sanA too, but more people go to the jusco in american village.
oh, i almost forgot,
okinawa soba is the BOMB!
haha, well go here! its worth it!

How this place changed my life
Okinawa is a land of very friendly people where everyone will give you a smile when you walk past on the sidewalk. I miss it very much; it is my home. There is such cultural diversity, especially when you get to live on base and go to school there. It is one of the most beautiful places to live on the earth, if you can appreciate nature integrated with urban living.
