I’ve been to Iraq when I was a child…too little to remember of course. My father was born and raised there, I spoke Arabic and everything…but I lost the language. I can still understand conversations and say things here and there, but not like I used to. It isn’t what people think…dessert and people with turbans. It can be a great place to live, I want to go back and visit my family…but with this war going on, it can be hard. Hopefully I will get to go back.
