I moved to Scroby Sands,Near Great Yarmouth,Norfolk,UK
In the mid 80’s a company,in a place called Gt yarmouth,Norfolk,UK,Kept asking me to work in the area. This was 5 hours by train back home to Manchester, which you dont want after doing 3 weeks on a gas rig 12hrs on 12 off.I was content working in the Morcome Bay Gas fields and it was only 1/2 hour or so back home to Manchester. In the end their continuous calls with offers of more money changed my mind. After a while I made this my home and have never looked back.It was one of the best decisions of my life,as Citys do have more social problems than you hear about due to the volume of people there.Deep down though I am still a Lanchashire Lad.

Worth visiting!

Wonderful in the summer, lots of simple, relaxing things to do, especially if you get a boat, meander along and moor up at a great English pub. Can’t beat it, but not sure about the winter.

Unexpectedly beautiful
We took a couple of days at the beginning of November to get a glimpse of Norfolk, the home of some of my ancestors. Loved it! The weather was beautiful, which helped a lot. The Saxon round-tower churches and the small villages are most photogenic. We’d like to spend more time here when we can.
