Zhytomyrska aka: Zhytomyrshchyna

I toured a large portion of western Ukraine with a mission team in 2005 and had a great experience. I’m not sure that I would classify the interior as very ‘touristy’, but there is certainly a lot of history to be learned in the region. A day trip to Kiev and a tour of the Chernobyl National Museum are a must…as well as a stop by Babi Yar. Amazing people…learn Ukrainian rather than Russian if you want to make friends faster in Ukraine.
