This place, particularly Sao Miguel, is beautiful, fun, and amazing! The people are (mostly) friendly and have a zest for life. During the five or six times I’ve visited, I can honestly say that I’ve had the most amazing experiences ever. I live here by ActinguyAs an active duty Air Force member, I’m currently stationed here…and it’s the most beautiful place on Earth. And I’ve seen enough of the Earth to make that claim. Pictures do not do this place justice. That said…there’s not a lot to “do”. The beauty is enough for me…I couldn’t be happier. But if you’re looking for nightclubs and malls and a McDonalds, this is NOT the place for you. It’s very laid back, very calm, and very undeveloped.
