went for a wedding  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

I didn’t have much time to explore, because I was only in country for the weekend, but the old walled city is just gorgeous, the convent where they got married was gorgeous and had spectacular views, and my rental car was a stick shift. I wish I’d had more time.

forget the turist books  — 2 years ago

    Worth visiting!

the best thing about this city is that if you forget the map at home you can always find a bit of history on every corner..and the surrondings are as interresting as the city on its own.. never forgeting the food, the wine and the sweets..

    Not worth it!

I spent a day and night in Evora, and found it to be the seedy underbelly of portugal. There’s really not too much to do there, and I found it pretty boring. I’m sure there’s many more interesting places in Portugal to visit before Evora.

Great town with lots to see… ♥
I was creeped out by the chapel of bones, love the temple of diana, stared at the cathedral and walked through the palace gardens… it was lovely indeed…

Chapel of Bones  — 2 years ago

Long ago I watched on TV about a Chapel with interior full of bones & skeletons!
Today I saw it again on TV, and got the name: EVORA.

I think it’s gonna be a striking experience to see Capela dos Ossos, as striking as its story.
I’m not a fan of horror at all though, and for sure I don’t want to accept those bones invitation …
we bones that are here are waiting for yours
