VERY steep with great buildings and fabulous views from the University at the top. See: University, Old Cathedral, Botanical Gardens, Portugal por Pequenitos (for the children and it should say ‘of all ages.’
Great centre for visiting the area around, particularly the magnificent Forest of Buçaco. the Roman site of Conimbriga and Lousa (q.v.)

A quiet place but it has its own vibe

I think is one of the best “University places” of Europe!

Lovely town!

This is a nice place to live. The biggest part of the population here is made of students, so it gets messy every tuesday and thursday night. But there’s also a nice river where you can do some kayaking ( i will do it sometime too ).
