The mango lassis help. over 3 years agoPhaal by Brian EggeGenerally, I would try to avoid any of the curry restaurants on 6th St, but I had to try Brick Lane, just because I’ve been to Brick Lane in London, and because of their Phaal dish. I like spicy food, so I ordered the Phaal. The deal when I was there is you get a free bottle of beer if you eat the Phaal. I ate the Phaal, and then order some naan to scoop up the sauce. This was without a doubt the spiciest curry I’ve ever had. It’s quite true about it just being spicy and not having any flavor. You can’t taste a thing while your eating it. My wife wasn’t very impressed when I finished it, but our waiter was. Elizabeth thought it was a dumb idea when I ordered it. So it would have been better if I had gone here with my toughest guy friends, and then we could have seen who could eat it and who couldn’t. over 6 years ago |
