Lots of character and good food etc, but a slower pace of life that I’m not suited to. Sicillia is the best destination for beach lovers. What I like most about Sicily is that the water here is warm enough to swim in; and the very nice thing is that it stays like this for about 6 months in a year. My grandmother was an orphan on the island and moved to the US in the late 40s. I can’t find out much about her since she passed away and I never got to meet her. Not to mention being an orphan makes finding family ties pretty hard to do.
