Piemonte aka: Piedmonte

I love Piemonte!
I have taken several holiday trips to Stresa on Lago Maggiore and the area is gorgeous. Nice clean air, friendly and some lovely food, try the regional Porcini mushroom risotto (risotto ai funghi).

You can fly to Milan from the UK and get a quick train out ot the mountains.
