Pays de la Loire

I held my wedding reception in a small castle near Tours. It was beautiful and we had a Mâitre Cuisinière de France prepare our banquet. And I’ve visited a few castles in the region, my favourites include Azay-Le-Rideau (on water), Chambord, Chernonceau (beautiful gardens) and Blois (masterpiece staircase).

Marvellous chateaus and a real look back into the medieval times when you look round them. And such pretty towns and villages with no McDonalds in sight!
Blois was the nicest place. I’d love to go back. I love the really rural areas of France, they feel so unspoiled.
