Travelers destroy what they seek?

I don’t know if you’re looking more along the lines of a hotel or more of a “where to camp” thing, but Brian Bouldrey was at Corsica very recently (2004, I think) and wrote a whole book about it—very poignantly, I thought. Perhaps this would be a nice supplement to the drier travel guides?

Sea, forest, water, snow, wind, wild, sun, hot, cold, rocks.
That’s how I’d tag Corsica.

i remember watching a travel show when i was little girl. some people were kayaking in beautiful lagoons, and all of sudden they were on a stunning beach. it looked so beautiful i remember thinking ‘where is this place?!’ and it was corsica. i am fascinated by beautiful islands like this with diverse terrain.

every time i see a picture of it i think it’s so lush and beautiful.

Unfortunately, all the North West (La Balagne) is very dry during the summer. But the center is absolutely worth visiting!

Birthplace of Napoleon, whom I have some sort of fixation with. He’s the ultimate self-made man, and also demonstrates the risk of having too much power and ambition. :) I think I might also have a little crush on him. I heard some of the love letters he wrote to his wife, and they’re pretty hot :)

I want to check out the place that produced this man.

Quaint little towns, wonderful cuisine, sparkling blue sea. What more could you ask for? I must have had a past life there because it felt so much like home.
