A review of this place: Don't go for the town, but go for the people.

What can I say about Liège ?

That’s where my little sister went to study. There is a great belgian university where vets are formed. So, if you want to go there, be sure to have a student to guide you. The ancient square (le carré) is the place to be if you want to have some party. A good beer is served with a cheap price.

What else about Liège ?

Let’s go there at august 15th. In a quarter called Outre-Meuse, there is a great procession with giants. Don’t miss the taste of the “Zizi-coincoin” or of the “Péquet”. And most of all, don’t leave Liège before you eat a local waffle. They’re just unbelivable.

A review of this place: I love it

I always go to Liege to unwind for a short holiday if I want to go abroad. (I live in the Netherlands) I love it because of it’s diversity, the ancient city-centre and the whole vibe. Christmas is not christmas if I haven’t went to Liege to go ice-skating and eat churros with my friends! Also nice is the antique-market on sundays, and the many little shops with curiosa. And it’s basically the best city to go shopping in the benelux area in my opinion! ;-)

For a birthday

Want to go there for my best friend’s birthday (she lives in a small town near Liege). Currently looking at flight to brussels, why is it so expensive? The point is that this month we’re already going to York for the weekend, and then to Italy beginning of May, so I would like to find a cheap way to get there…

Un mois en Belgique!

This January term, I did a work study in a little tiny Belgian town near Liege.

I worked at L’ecole libre de Theux with the 2-4 year olds. It was cold, exhausting and hectic but I loved it. My family was the most loveable bunch of crazies and I can’t wait to go back and visit.
