Worth visiting!

We had a good time there. Very relax and happy life. Nagasaki people seemed friendly and not so busy. I didn’t see anyone run to station or past-paced. A lot of places you could spend time in Nagasaki. Dejima, Dutch village was fabulous! Definitely worth to visit!

The bomb site museum will change your life. I only wish I had more time to spend in Nagasaki. I want to go back.

Worth visiting!

With warm, friendly people Nagasaki is a lovely city. I would certainly plan on visiting again in the future.

Worth visiting!

Definately eye-opening. The a-bomb museum is well worth a visit… the images and testimonies of people are absolutely shocking. It’s difficult to imagine what people are capable of doing to each other. Seeing how thiscity build itself back up is amazing. The Glover Garden and Dutch slopes were also interesting, but I wouldn’t have been sad if i’d missed it. A definite must do is that Inasa-Yama ropeway. The view is fantastic.

Worth visiting!

Toured the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum. I didn’t pay extra for the English Headphones (my ex did on a separate visit and thinks it adds to the depression). It is surreal to go through the museum and then step out into the peaceful garden around ground zero. We’d been spoiled by picture menus so when we landed in a place with word menus only we did some random picking and had a smorgasbord. The school children waved and said hello eager to practice their English. The older generation chooses careful avoidance which is understandable. The train ride home had a few stops so I ran out and grabbed some beers from the platform vendors. This was in 1998 so I can’t vouch for what commerce is like today. Some boys on the train offered me puff cake. I’m not a big fan but had a pinch. If you appear open they are more than willing to engage you. I’d like to return one day. This is a remote town so don’t expect a metropolis.
