Shizuoka-ken aka: Shizuoka Prefecture,静岡県

I lived in Kakegawa-shi, Shizuoka-ken for a year and a half before moving to Tokyo. What a different lifestyle! I was relaxed, could walk to work in seven minutes, bike anywhere in town… The people were friendly and sweet, and still remember me when I visit. I don’t think I could say that about anyplace in Tokyo, except my hair stylist and a few restaurant owners in my neighborhood.
