The people here are very friendly and helpful. Right now I am in Tokyo, and I miss Nagano! It is summer now and it was hot, I was happy to discover the subway entrances can also be used as pedestrian underpasses to cross under a street, rather than standing in the sun and heat waiting on the crosswalk. There was a tunnel from close to our hotel to the bottom of a department store closeby, to the bottom of a department store which was diagonally across the street from our hotel. I found this to be very convenient. Many excellent day trips, wasabi farm, monkey onsen, etc. over 5 years agoNagano-shi by lazysupperFresh air, blue skies, uncrowded, and not insanely humid. Many awesome day trips less than or about an hour away. Hakuba (skiing), Izuna (skiing, onsen, camping), and Jigokudani Monkey Park. over 5 years agoSee all 9 entries |
