The first time I went to this place  — 10 months ago

    Worth visiting!

I took a train from Nahariyya to Haifa to visit a friend for the day. We didn’t have much time so we went to the mall and ate a great salad at Greg restaurant. We walked around a bit. I never made it to the Baha’i gardens which is a shame, but it’s okay, I’ll just have to return!

A review of this place: beautifull!  — 1 year ago

    Worth visiting!

I have been there this summer( about a week after the ceasefire).
And it is surely the most beautifull city of Israel.
Especially the vieuw from mount Carmel at night is breathtaking.
tip: the beerbar on Mt. Carmel is very nice, and they have about 20 Belgian beers! cool bartender too.

Haifa - my lovely city!  — 1 year ago

    Not worth it!

i’v been living in haifa From age 4 (now 20), its a beautiful city to live in, its built on the carmel mounten.
its divited in 3 parts: the top- called the “carmel” when most of the wealthy and the middle class live in, the “hadar” area when most of the local stores and business are, and the down town – mostly Government building area, Science Industries Center, harbor and the bay area, and when most of haifa’s nightlife is taking place.
the view from the top of the mounten is simply unbelievable, you can see the whole bay area, the arbor, most of the down-town area, and the suburbs area – called “the krayot”
AND if you live on the top of the city, which i afferently do, you get to see this view every day on your balcony.
the view from the top commemorate the view of Hong-Kong from victoria’s pick but is much smaller scale.
the “baha’i gardens” are obviously the main turist attraction they are fascinating religious place to visit.
but there is much more places to visit in haifa.

    Worth visiting!

I visited Haifa three times, with only 5 nights in total – business trips.

So I have only seen Haifa from hotel, taxi, office and restaurant, which is no way to do it justice.

However, from what I did see I definitely want to return as a tourist some day.

The Baha’i Gardens in Haifa are simply breathtaking. I feel so blessed to have been able to see them in person.
