I live here since last year, when I got married. At first, the city seemd dull adn boring. But after a while, after visiting it, I changed my oppinion. There’s a real fortress here, built by Stephen the Great and a lot of beautiful old churches. Now I really like Suceava. over 6 years agoSuceava by OnMyWayDownI went to Suceava on a humanitarian missions trip. Really great. I loved the country side and the culture was much different from the US. The only bad part of my trip was that on September 11, 2001 the terrorist attacks happened while I was there. A bit scary on the ride home, but I still was glad I went. It was an experience I will never forget. over 6 years agoRomania... what a pleasant surprise!! by sweeteaIt is amazing how much Romania has to offer, including Suceava and the churches found in this part of the country. The beautiful churches dating from the 14-15th centuries are situated in rolling countryside. You can visit all 6 in a day with a car and stay in one of the lovely country b and b s. There are so few tourists here – mostly French – and I did not meet a single American in this part of Romania. Definitely check it out, especially if you love art history. |
