We took a hike to Sari Sari Falls and it was amazing! The hike to get there is rather vigorous, but well worth it. The scenery along the way is incredible and the Fall is breathtaking. On Christmas day, the water in the pool beneath the fall was warm enough to swim in comfortably and as clear as if it came out of an evian bottle. Make sure to visit the black sand beaches too!

I grew up on this island. I loved every moment of it. Even if there is a struggling economy, I would go back in a heartbeat. It is definitely the nature isle of the caribbean.

It really is. less touristy, more friendly, clean and beautiful.
A true Island atmosphere, and the people were amazing. Last time i went, the poverty level was enormous, (32% were unemployed) and you would think that would make it kind of scary (rich americans, poverty stricken island?) but it wasn’t at all. The people were honest, hard working and just genuinely good people. now, add that to the beauty of the island, and the richness in culture? amazing place. and make sure to drop alot of cash there, the economy needs it!

It really is one of the most gorgeous places I have ever visited. And very untouristy…no shops, no chain stores…the way life should be! We rented a place in Calibishie and rented a car and went all over the place. I can’t wait to go back!
