They are also known as The Lost Boys of Sudan. They arrived here May of 2001 with nothing but a backpack and high hopes and dreams. They are truly an inspiration to me…They have had a horrific life in Sudan and in the refugee camps for years. My 5 “sons” are hopeful there will be peace in Sudan and they will be able to return and contribute in helping their people. James – Graduated from a selective university, working and applying to Grad Schools. The others – are going to the local college and working full-time. They are achieving their dreams in being educated and having freedom. One day soon, it is my hope, after many many conversations with them about Sudan, I will join them on their journey back for the first time. I am their mother here in the states, I pray I can hand them over to their mothers in Sudan. over 5 years agothe land of love by wildbeautyunlike what comes on the mdia, this is all a politica poropaganda, sudan is a beautiful country and most important beautiful people, thier inner beauty glow in the darkest night, and thier friendly nature make you feel welcomed more than home, u dont need to know to enter people heart you just say SALAMALLAYKOM (peace be upon you). if you relly want to enjoy sudan u must have at least some one you know there to tour you around the intresting places in the city khartoum, though many tourist dont know of the man facilities available there. good contact numbers are availabe upon request. wish u all happy trip over 5 years agoUntitled by Savanah CannardHere is my dream. Well actually the people may, but the corrupt government sure doesn’t. Wouldn’t visit again, but mostly because those native to the country are doing a better job working with orpans and widows than we can for them. They just need support. over 6 years agoSee all 28 entries |
