The land of my birth.
It’s been called paradise on earth – white sandy beaches, scenic mountains, friendly locals, beautiful people, weird food :)
Get out of the crowded cities and visit the provinces – that’s how you’ll see the beauty of the Philippines!

The last time I visited the P.I. was in 2003. We went to see relatives and friends. We stayed at my grandmother’s house in Bunol, Nueva Ecija. We also spent some time at Baguio City, which the climate and elevation of the city is similar to that of the Bay Area and San Francisco in the US. We also stayed in a 3 1/2 star hotel in Manila, and did some shopping at the SM Megamall. If and when I do go back to this country, it will be for business, not for leisure. The P.I. has the potential for foreign investors.

Was there July/August 2007.
I had one of the best times of my life. Of course, stupid me, I came home with pneumonia. Oh well, the Philiipnes was awesome!
Everything “good” that you hear about the Philippines is absolutely true. The people are friendly, the food is yummy, and the scenery is often breathtaking.
Likewise, what you hear about Manila is true…well, mostly! It is your typical city of 10-million people. Lots of concrete sidewalks, congested traffic, absurdly psychotic drivers, colorful jeepneys, wierd smells, and mind-blowing poverty mixed with extravagent opulance. My advice on Manila is…make sure you leave it so that you can see the real Philippines!!

one of my best friend is phillipino and she’s amazing. yesterday i got invited by her and her parents to go with them to the phillines when they’re going.
i can’t wait! think it will be interesting to see how she lived there cause she always tells me about how things are so different here.
