Cheap/budget self catering holiday accommodation in Brasov, Busteni, Prahova Valley, Romania. Busteni has a lot of churches, monuments, museums and castles and slopes.Luxor holiday apartment is just 45km away from Dracula’s castle. Why I want to go here by Tigerlily19I’m a Romanian by blood, but I have lived in America all my life. I’ve visited once when I was 10, but I didn’t really get to experience much except for my Grandma’s farm. I live in Romania. Is a very beautiful country, if you wanna come here. People aren’t so remarkable, as a matter of fact they are really boring, unfriendly and very poor (or very rich, depends). But Romania is really beautiful, i know that ’cuz I live there. over 4 years agoUntitled by stinep123After reading The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova I’ve gotten an unexplainable urge to go to Romania to visit Dracula’s Castle. I’ve always had a thing for vampires (because they’re the only supernatural things that doesn’t make me lose my sleep at night..=), but I’ve never really wanted to go see anything of Dracula’s. Until I read this book. I don’t know much about Romania though, so I’ll have to do a bit more research before I even consider going there. over 4 years agoUntitled by kreo52I am leaving the evening of Aug. 7, 2008, and will be arrive in Bucharest the afternoon of the 8th. They are 8 hours ahead of me. I will be visiting a church where my great-great-grandparents were wed, and where my grandparents renewed their vows. We will be holding a parastas here in honor of my grandfather and other relatives who have died. I hope my grandma can handle the trip. I imagine the flight and walking will be difficult for her, as she just turned 77. I’m planning to make a grave rubbing of the marker for my great-great-great grandfather. I’m incredibly lucky to have family that is aware of our roots. I would not know how to look this stuff up or find it on my own.
