Madagascar

I actually know virtually nothing about Madagascar. It just looks so intriguing on maps, that huge island off the African coast.

I am planning on flying from Mozambique this July. I’d love any tips for a 10 day trip!

I want to go tot Madagascar since I read The song of the Dodo. Lemurs!
But first I have to learn French I guess. And get a driverslicence or something, to get around on the island.

If you like wild life you will love Madagascar! They have so much from the north to the south! The beautiful waters of the bay to the vast city views, this place has a great array of wildlife.

Were going this summer… it’s going to be amazing…

Because the island broke away from the mainland so long ago, it allowed for some amazing species of arboreal primates to evolve without competing with the monkeys and apes so common to central and western Africa. I would love to spend some time there viewing this amazing wildlife.

I am going next Sunday, I am very happy! My brother already left with a friend of his last Sunday and the plan is to meet them in Mahajanga, where I will drive with dad from Antananarivo. It is a long journey, but it is said to be very beautiful.

Don’t know how difficult it will be to get here from Harare where we will be living for the next two years at least, but if we can, we’ll get there.
