When I went to Mauritania, I fell in love with the country. I spent about a week in Selibaby. Having grown up in Ivory Coast I feel part african. Sadly my ability to speak french didn’t really help me there as most of the locals that i met didn’t speak it. But everybody I met there was incredibly nice and hospitable. I really enjoyed the nature too, I love the heat.

I’d definitely recommend mauritania, but it would be handy if you know someone there.

hey, i lived there for 6 years, and i really love this place..it’s very peaceful, the people is very friendly and you have the desert (absolutely gorgeous..i recomand places like Chinguetti, Boutilimit, and the centre next Atar) or the beach (not very clean but she’s very big and beatiful..) right next door. It’s not a rich country, but there’s great compensations and it’s one of the best places i know.

It is so close to Morocco, yet I never thought about it until a few days ago. I’d like to go there.
