Why I want to go to this place — 4 days ago
The more that I see of this world, the more I want to find the end of it . . . or maybe the beginning…

This place has some truly spectacular diving. I can’t wait to go back and do some more diving in PNG.

Worth visiting!
I spent a year here with my parents when I was ten (it wasn’t so long ago as I’m now 18). It is so beautiful there. The only reason we left was because of the violence. Other than that it was gorgeous- my favourite place I have ever lived. We lived in Vunapope across the bay from the volcanoes (and the ruins of Rabaul) in East New Britain. I definitely recommend it. I really want to go back there some day. Off of East New Britain are also the Duke of York Islands which are perfect in every way but unfortunately sinking.

Well the last time i visit Png was last year December 18th.We went over for 3 weeks coz my sister’s bestfriend was to get married. We went to Madang,Lae and finally Kokopo.. it was the best holiday. The people over there are very friendly. I would luv to go bck there again, the beach and the people are just wonderful.
P.s I am mix Png and Solomon Islands but i grew up in New Guinea and now me living in Aussie.

The giant rats that Tim Flannery wrote about.
The linguistic diversity.
The culture.
The extreme mountains just bursting out of the ocean.
The jungle.
I’d like to see Buka since I’ve seen a movie about it and my friend’s brother is doing fieldwork there. I get the impression that despite everything they handled the peace process well.

a few years back i had a really good friend – jasmin – i really loved her and she went to papua for 6 weeks (i think), and she told me some amazing stories and she had an awesome time, and i just wished i could be there, if not with her to see her smile, then later, to experience some of the things she saw, heard and felt…
