A nice mix of lovely foody things, small designer fashion stalls, places to eat and other stuff. Open from 9ish to 5ish. There’s a new market just over the road in the Truman Brewery (just of Hanway Street) which makes up for the bit that has been chopped off by evil city developers. More of the same kinds of thing. over 7 years agofun and funky by MFMEven with the big chains bearing down in the extension that is being added, the market is filled with cool one of a kind items with lots of unique offerings. over 7 years agoUntitled by JacobDespite significant redevelopment around the market that has reduced its size, a trip over here on a sunday is great fun. Spitalfields is not as chic as Borough market but has a veritable bunch of different stalls crammed into the space – from second hand and new clothes to fresh vegetables and handmade chocolates. There’s resturants and food huts, and the Spitz regularly has live music upstairs. Just around the corner from Liverpool street and Broadgate, Petticoat lane and Brick lane are both also next door and can be incorporated into a day’s outing. I lived a street down from the market for a number of years and did much of my weekly food shopping there. over 7 years ago |
