Jean Lafitte National Park French Quarter Visitor Center

The French Quarter is a National Park! At the visitor center, you can sign up for walking tours, lead by park rangers. To assure getting your preferred tour, you MUST get there at least an hour before the office opens and get in line. This need not be a disheartening waste of time, though, because Cafe Du Monde is within walking distance. So send one person from your party there with orders for cafe au lait and beignets, then slurp and chomp on them while waiting in line. Worth it!
