Lalinde.

Lalinde was the first English bastide, founded in 1267 by Henry Plantagenet. It suffered serious damage during the Hundred Years War and the Wars of Religion.
The Dordogne River forms Lalinde’s natural southern border; the countryside to the south is flat open farmland, to the north it’s wooded hills which shelter many prehistoric remains.
