ah crispy golden goodness… i’m glad it isn’t near my house, otherwise i’d be on the road to heart failure, i’m sure.

a seriously satisfying meal.

Worth visiting!

On deck, fantasizing about the perfectly fried thigh soon to hit my lips, I notice the lady behind the register laughing her ass off. A squeamish high school kid stares at the floor, sheepish like someone just caught him in in the bathroom with a playboy. “Your cologne smells FANTASTIC!” she bellows and then she looks at me. “isn’t his cologne nice?” she asks? I reply that I can only smell chicken, and yes, the chicken smells very nice. She laughs harder. The other gentleman behind the register gestures for me to have a listen. “he’s high off his ass,” he whispers to me. “She loves to make fun of faded highschool kids.”

Third best fried chicken in the world!  — 1 year ago

Worth visiting!

The best is (of course) my mom’s.
Second best is served at Eischen’s Bar in Okarche, OK

Ezell’s is definitely the best I’ve had in Seattle.

Yum yum yum!  — 2 years ago

Worth visiting!

We used to live not far from the original Ezell’s and stopped in once or twice a month for a box of their excellent moist fried chicken and divine rolls. Really tasty, no place to sit down, parking for 6 or 7 cars max, across the street from a high school so time your visit to miss the outflux. I seem to remember they don’t take credit cards, but they had an ATM in the store.
