Lakeview

Lakeview is a great neighborhood. It’s more diverse than most of the North Side; everything from the coffee to the housing is relatively affordable; it’s easy to get to and around on public transportation; there’s lots of good eating and shopping and walking; it’s not far from the beach; it has some great nonprofit political and social issue groups; and it’s just a great place. Just go walk around some time, you’ll like it. Unless you’re a yuppie who wants to gentrify it, then stay away please.

I lived in Lakeview for many, many years, up until March of 2006, when I moved to Lincoln Square. Lakeview is still one of my favorite neighborhoods in Chicago. Great people and a lot of fun stuff – without the Lincoln Park pretension :)
