Flowers Bar & Restaurant

After watching “Unreasonable Man”, we wandered a block down the Ave to Flowers. I’d never noticed it before because I thought it was a flower store, but I like the place—it’s got the kind of imaginative but not serious food that I like, and the prices are pretty good too. While LCD Soundsystem played, we discussed whether Nader should have apologized for affecting the election, whether presidential candidates are marketed based on their policies or personalities, and whether it’s better to influence politics from the inside or outside.

The falafel is really good! They also have a good variety of cheap cocktails.

The vegetarian lunch buffet is really good. The service isn’t great, but I go back all the time for the food. It’s sort of a mix of Thai, Mediterranean, and American. Unusual and yummy stuff.
